Adding Patterns To Doll From Here i assume you know
the basics of paint functions. Click
Here To Get Patterns, in this tutorial too Josie's Dolls Base is used.
it isn't so difficult but you need to read it carefully, it gets tricky :D
Get A Doll That You Wish To Add
Patterns. This is Shania, to make her Click Here.
This is the pattern i am going to
use. I got them from xandorra and i had cropped it to a smaller size. (for
no reason actually, just to save webspace :P)
Ok reminder ->
You should have 2 of your dolls. Meaning you copy and paste it to
somewhere else first, you'll need it later
Ok here goes, you place the pattern on top of your doll. Clear whatever
there is so that there's only the dress left. Now clear the details away
(the gold parts)
Make Sure You
Have That box clicked (circled in red) This would make white
transparent. Here you'll see that the doll that i have copy and paste
earlier on. Put the pattern dress over the doll
Here we are going to re-color the
pattern. Choose a color you want your pattern to be in. (here i chose dark
red). If you are a patient you can color the pattern pixel by pixel ^^ but
well there's a faster way. Here you see in the middle (you'll see this
beside the color box. the color underneath is what you want your pattern
to be and the color above is the color you pattern is.). Use a color
picker and right-click on a color you want your pattern to be. Then use
the color picker and click on the color your patterns are right now (which
is black. For this do not right click). Then use the eraser tool, click
right click without letting go...and just go over the black pattern. This
would re-color the pattern to dark red. If you don't understand, well you
can just re-color it pixel by pixel.^^
Now we are going to clear the
mess. Get rid of the pattern that overlapped the dress outline and the
underside of the dress by coloring it in the color it suppose to be (which
is dark blue for the outline and lighter blue for the underside dress)
Just like coloring details, you
follow the dress color shade. Where the dress is in light color, your
pattern should be in a light color too. (i am not good at explaining so
just stare at the picture, you'll understand) You can use the palette up
there.
Well That's It!
